Patricia Drake - Consultant

Chair of the Board

Current Position: Consultant

Before her retirement, Pat was the Assistant Chief Nurse at Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust – 1993 to 2006. Pat’s previous positions in Nursing include senior post of Quality Manager, Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust – 1991 to 1993 and she was a member of numerous key Bradford Health Forums along with being a School Governor at Dixons CTC. Pat know works freelance as a consultant to the NHS and other health services


Robert Stubbs - Consultant

Vice Chair and Chair of Finance Sub-Committee

Current Position: Consultant

Since 1983 and up to 1996, Robert has been a partner in Bentley Jennison Chartered Accountants and its predecessor firm, and is now a consultant with them. 

In voluntary roles, Robert has also been a Governor of Park Lane College in Leeds since 1998, one of the larger FE colleges in the country with a turnover of over £33m and has over 40,000 students. He is also on the committees of the Leeds branches of the RNLI and Sea Cadets. In 1996 to 1997 Robert raced around the world on a yacht helping raise over £1.5m for Save the Children. He is married with three daughters and lives in Menston.


Geoff Roberts - Developing Minds Ltd

Current Position: Part-owner and Director of Developing Minds Ltd

Geoff works in the fields of personal, team and organisational development, process design and improvement, change management, asset management and environmental affairs.

Geoff worked with Yorkshire Water from 1974 to 2000 as Operational Science Manager, Change Agent and Head of Safety, Health and Environment. He has an MSc in Management of Change and trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Spiral Dynamics and Accelerated Learning.

Dr Georgios Vournas - Trescom

Current Position: Georgios is co-owner and Director of Trescom Research & Consultancy Ltd

Of Greek origin, Georgios has a PhD in Social Policy from Bradford University(1999) and an  MA in Social and Community Work Studies (1993). Georgios has published several papers in prestigious research journals. Trained and qualified as a Social Worker, Georgios’ specialisation is Quality, including documentary and research. Georgios was a Castle Award 2002 finalist for individuals who have made a significant contribution to promoting Equality of Opportunity and addressing the Equal Pay category.


Kath Nuttall - Lancashire & South Cumbria Cancer Network

Current Position: Director of Lancashire & South Cumbria Cancer Network since 2005

Kath works to provide strategic leadership for the coordination, implementation, development and delivery of all aspects of the cancer services across Lancashire and South Cumbria; to act as a link between DH policy team and Network providers of Cancer Services, Service users, Network Clinical Groups and Network constituent organisations.

Kath has spent all of her working career within in the NHS - most of that time has been spent working locally in Bradford Hospitals or the Yorkshire Health Service.

Kath is also on the Board of Directors of the Blackburn with Darwen Healthy Living Centre and on the Management Committee of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, two charities which are associated with her current role.


Supriya Nagarajan - Manasamitra

Current Position: Artistic Director at Manasamitra since 2005

Supriya formed Manasamitra in 2005, with just three freelance artists, with an objective to promote traditional Asian music and dance alongside traditional and contemporary visual arts.

The main aim of Manasamitra is to create an awareness of South Asian music in the UK and to showcase and promote the talents of UK based musicians, artists and dancers.

Manasamitra has grown to be a self-sustaining Social Enterprise with three members of staff and regularly work with 24 freelance artists.

Supriya is a performer of South Asian music. She began her musical journey at the age of five, training under the tutelage of two renowned gurus Smt Parvathi Krishnamurthy and Smt T R Balamani. She has performed classical and Bollywood styles of Indian music, but her 15 years of training as a carnatic vocalist has found her performing all over the world in such places as; Singapore, India and Holland.

Current Position: Funding and Development Manager at Barca-Leeds since March 2011


Claudia Powell - Leeds Grand Theatre & Opera House

Current Position: Business Development Manager at Leeds Grand Theatre & Opera House


 

Can you be a Member of our Board?

Artworks has a well-established, enthusiastic and strong Board. However, due to the ongoing expansion of the organisation into the area of Social Enterprise, there are a number of positions on the Board that are currently under-represented. These include: Artistic Development, Business Development and Community.
