Arts & Health
Our artists work with health professionals in community settings to create accessible and inclusive programmes which impact on health and enhance lives across the boundaries of race, age and ability.
We are working with national organisations to develop groundbreaking creative engagement techniques and making the case for the arts as an effective tool to engage the public in the drive to improve health and wellbeing.

- The Manningham Healthy Living Initiative (MHLI) Annual Report 2009/10, documenting the various Projects we have worked on as part of the Arts and Health Partnership with Kala Sangam: MHLI Annual Report 2009/2010
-
Care Quality Commission - The Care Quality Commission (CQC) supports a nationwide network of community groups to help them gather patient and public experience stories. Artworks adapted its successful course, Ignite, to train members of this network in creative engagement and consultation techniques. This training course has now run a number of times and is continuing to do so with the newly formed CQC.

Hidden Voices - Following on from the success of the Get Your Pen Out / Forgotten project which Gary Staniforth, Artworks Creative Communities and BACC ran last year, Artworks and Gary have managed to find some more funding to work on a new project called Hidden Voices.
The workshops are a great opportunity to express feelings and emotions around homeless issues and to show the outside world that homeless people are real people with real lives and real talent.
