Engaging Young People
When it comes to young people’s learning one size doesn’t fit all. For some the academic route suits them well, for others nothing could be less appealing. However, that doesn’t mean that these young people aren’t capable of major achievements or able to succeed in fulfilling their potential.
By looking at learning from a different angle and using creative activities that young people enjoy, such as music, dance and graffiti art, Artworks Creative Communities specialises in engaging hard to reach client groups. But our activities are not just about having fun. Being able to achieve specific learning targets and raising young people’s aspirations are fundamental to the success of our programmes. Artworks’ projects challenge negative behaviours, help young people to develop their interpersonal skills and give them the confidence to succeed, helping them to progress into further learning.
