Public Art

Public artwork is part of our landscape, part of our heritage and part of our culture. Artworks have been commissioned to produce some of Bradford’s most creative works of public art by some of the City's most historic landmarks and prestigious organisations.

Our artists take projects from concept through to delivery and employ a rewarding participatory approach to devising designs and public artwork that will inspires and will stand the test of time.

Artworks were commissioned by English Heritage and Bowling Old Lane Cricket Club to produce a pair of wrought iron gates for one of Bradford’s oldest sporting institutions, designed with the help of members of the Management Committee.

“The gates have made a huge impact on the club and are an inspirational symbol of what can be achieved. It was important to us that the members were part of the process; the images in the gates tell the stories behind our 100-year history and symbolise our regeneration. When you arrive at the club, they put a smile on your face!”
